Wagner: “The players showed more hunger, passion and desire”

After an excellent victory over Norwich City, there was a great sense of positivity and optimism in the post-match comments from David Wagner.

In the post-match interview (see below) David Wagner expressed his delight about his side’s “hunger, passion and desire” to gain all three points after two disappointing performances.

The energetic German coach expressed his delight and pride about a performance which he described as “one of the best at home” since he took over the managerial reigns.

David Wagner summarised the performance as “high energy and high intensity” and reminiscent of precisely what Huddersfield Town are about after a blistering second half performance.

The return of Jonathan Hogg was particularly enjoyed by David Wagner as he described it as “the greatest story of the season; he is reborn!”.

As well as the return of Jonathan Hogg, David Wagner singled out Aaron Mooy’s excellent performance in the advanced midfield position before confirming that there were no new injuries ahead of the trip to Nottingham Forest.

In the broader scheme of things, David Wagner described Town’s consolidation in the playoffs after defying the odds this season as a great achievement.
